Introduction etiquette
Introduction etiquette is the set of unwritten rules for making and asking for introductions politely and effectively.
Good intro etiquette: ask permission first (double opt-in), make a forwardable blurb so the connector doesn't have to write it, give the other person an easy out, and always thank the connector and close the loop afterward.
Bad etiquette — surprise CCs, vague asks, putting the connector on the spot — spends their relationship capital without consent.
Why it matters
Connectors are the most valuable people in any network, and they remember who makes intros easy versus who makes them awkward. Etiquette protects your access to them.
