The argument, in order
Concede the connector first. Mesh ships an MCP server that reads and writes, and so do Dex, folk, Attio, Cloze and Granola. Neither of us wins a buyer by having one.
That moves the real question one step down. Your assistant can change the record of the people you know in any of these products. What keeps that memory worth trusting is whether a person saw the claim before it landed, and whether the fact says where it came from afterwards.
Measured at the write, we found no proposal step, no approval step and no per-fact source in Mesh's published material as of 2026-08-06. The wider category reads the same way.
The gap stays open because it is a data model, not a feature. A fact carries a source only if the source was recorded the instant the fact was created, on every write path and every import. Ship the queue next quarter and the old facts still have nothing under them.
So Wend recorded the source on its first row and on every row since, and every agent write waits in a queue you approve. Every fact has a source, and you approved it.

Yes. Automattic acquired Clay (clay.earth) in June 2025, and the product rebranded to Mesh at me.sh on 2026-03-25. Their iOS listing still says 'Formerly known as Clay, same app, new name'. Do not confuse it with clay.com, an unrelated business-to-business company that search results mix in constantly.
What is the difference between Wend and Mesh?
Mesh keeps the contact card current: role, company, socials, life updates. Wend keeps the relationship: what was said, what you promised, how you are connected, with the email or page behind each fact. Both ship MCP servers; in Wend an agent's write is a proposal you approve.
